yes, the disc monkeys. four enterprising lads from portland doing their part to feed the local music vibe. why? well, that remains unclear ... but it has to be more than an excuse to hang out and drink. it really does. anyway, the end result is a 24/7 stream of pdx music.
broadcasting live from herbert house studios in the heart of the NEP, the disc junkies strive to be above average. If you happen to miss a live show, you can always relive the magic by grabbing hold of the podcast.
boan jones born in a shack, raised on squirrels and opossums. taught himself how to play the 'gee-tar' at age 9 after hearing the Black Hillbillies perform at the county fair. it's clear that his warped childhood has affected his listening sensibilities. most unpredictible. a cagey veteren of the pdx club scene.
focus in on the boan jones show every sunday at 9 pm pacific.
greg paul master of the wavy air. with access to thousands of hours of tapes from the famous Herbert House studios, greg sets the standard here at the station in terms of quality content. but that's not too hard really, given the environment. as the house producer for crowchow, greg has made many bands sound better than they actually are.
stop by greg paul's house of sound every saturday at 9 pm pacific.
eddward also known as the blowking, disc junkie eddward is the original crowchow. eddward's show usually peaks at about 8 beers - beyond that the show dissolves into a kind of vengence radio. it always makes for interesting listening, though.
you can hear eddward's king crowchunk hour every friday at 9 pm pacific.
r. falencek as station manager r. falencek is primarily responsible (really?) for getting boan jones properly medicated before his show. eddward, of course, is on his own, as he has an actual "doctor" to fill his prescription needs. mr. falencek also doubles as chief engineer here at Ccowchow which mean that he is usually responsible for the technical glitches that occasionally pop up. don't bother complaining to him though, the next complaint he responds to will be the first.
falencek is too lazy to have a regular show.
