dj nupyrn will be defending the emerald city against PDX's formidably popular dj snoopy skagzz. while her city stands in the indie-cred shadow and is still depending on coffee to get people excited, she has mustered enough pride to represent(!) some of seattle's best music.

currently nothing is sweeter than the fragrance of the rose city's music scene-though some may say the smell is familiar. die hard 206'ers claim the scent originated further north, reaching back to our grungy history. however, the nostalgic 'seattle sound' is stale: grunge is old enough to be retro (we've seen you at goodwill frantically searching for that 'vintage' ratty flannel from '92). let's face it: pdx has caught and released the scent-wafting past the NW to the rest of the country ever since.

dj nupryn is not here to lament. rather she has assembled an eclectic brew of inventive local tunes. like a good espresso macchiato, the creamy foam of post-grunge bands will temper the bitterness. careful-there's no better smell than coffee to wake you up! she hopes the fuzzy-logic of dj snoopy skaggz' is clear enough to compete...after all, what doesn't sound good through the stupid-happy of a beer buzz?
