the crowchow playlist is deep and diverse. the common factor is that all of the tunes come from artists that are either from portland or have performed regularly on the pdx 'scene'. this would include Johnny Skiles, a late 50's rocker who recorded his tunes at Ace Recording over on Hawthorne, the great portland bands from the 1960s (Live Five, the Express, Don and the Goodtimes ...etc), all the way through to the present day chartbusters the Shins, the Thermals and the Decemberists.
